WIE ZIJN WIJ?
LEGOLAND® Discovery Centre Scheveningen verwelkomt families in de wonderlijke wereld van het LEGO® steentje. Tijdens het bezoek hebben kinderen de mogelijkheid om samen met hun vrienden en familie te bouwen, spelen en leren. De attractie bestaat uit vele interactieve onderdelen met onder andere Duplo, LEGO® Ninjago™ en LEGO® Friends™. Daarnaast zijn er ook genoeg plaatsen zijn om gewoon lekker met LEGO® te kunnen spelen en bouwen, is er een 4D bioscoop met leuke LEGO® films en een spannende attractie-rit door een mooie LEGO® stad. Wij zijn onderdeel van de Merlin Entertainments Group, een wereldwijde leider op het gebied van het creëren van onvergetelijke, interactieve ervaringen voor het hele gezin.

The Role
As General Manager of LEGOLAND®, you hold full accountability for the overall performance of the attraction, including guest experience, commercial growth, brand impact and operational excellence with hands-on oversight of local marketing performance and execution, working in close partnership with central marketing teams.
With a strong marketing and commercial leadership mindset, you position LEGOLAND locally as the leading family entertainment brand, fully aligned with global LEGO® and Merlin brand strategies.
You will work closely with Marketing, Commercial, Brand teams and Finance, while taking local ownership of marketing execution, partnerships, pricing and propositions. You will report to the Regional Director.
As General Manager, you will oversee the full strategic and operational performance of the attraction. You set the tone—leading your team, delivering outstanding guest experiences, and ensuring that the center meets all financial, safety, and brand standards. Your leadership will ensure the attraction continues to grow and thrive.
Your Impact
This role combines full P&L responsibility with marketing-driven growth:
Commercial & Marketing Leadership
- Develop and execute a local marketing and commercial strategy aligned with Merlin Europe and global brand guidelines
- Maximise attendance, revenue and yield through:
- Campaigns and seasonal activations
- Local partnerships and B2B collaborations
- Pricing, promotions and product innovation
- Act as the local marketing thought leader and key business partner for central teams leading trading and marketing performance reviews (traffic conversion, yield, ROI)
- Drive data-led decision making based on KPIs, guest insights and market analysis
Brand & Guest Experience
- Ensure consistent and high-quality LEGOLAND® brand execution across all touchpoints
- Translate brand strategy into magical, locally relevant guest experiences
- Lead initiatives that increase NPS, repeat visitation and brand preference
Operational & People Leadership
- Full accountability for safety, quality and operational performance
- Lead and develop a multidisciplinary management team (Operations, Marketing/Commercial, Retail, F&B, Guest Experience)
- Build a high-performance culture focused on engagement, inclusion, development and ownership
- Confident influencing and challenging central teams to ensure local market needs are reflected in campaign planning and investment decisions
Who You Are
You are a commercially strong General Manager with a proven track record in marketing-led growth.
You bring:
- Minimum 5+ years of leadership experience in leisure, hospitality, retail or FMCG
- Demonstrated experience in:
- Marketing and commercial strategy
- Full P&L accountability
- Brand-driven growth
- Comfortable leading consumer marketing and campaign activity (digital, social, partnerships, promotions, seasonal events)
- Strong understanding of local market dynamics and how to drive visitation through targeted marketing
- Able to translate performance insights into action (KPIs, trading, guest data)
- Experience operating within a matrix organisation (local and central teams)
- An inspiring coaching people leader with both strategic and hands-on capability
- Fluent in English and Dutch (local language is an advantage)

We’re on the lookout for a Technical Manager to lead all attraction maintenance, ensure the highest standards of safety and compliance, and support our teams in delivering unforgettable experiences for families from across the Netherlands and beyond.
As our Technical Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and safety of the attraction, ensuring that our rides, play areas, facilities, and LEGO® features are operating at their very best.
You will:

Lead the Technical & Facilities function at the attraction, ensuring legal compliance, safety, and operational readiness at all times.

Plan and execute preventative maintenance programmes for all attractions, equipment, and building systems.

Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues swiftly to minimise downtime and support a seamless guest experience.

Manage on-site contractors and external partners, ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently, and to company standards.

Oversee stock management, tools, spare parts, and maintenance budgets.

Maintain accurate documentation, logs, and compliance records.

Play a key role in health & safety, risk assessments, and emergency procedures.

Support wider attraction projects, refurbishments, and new installations.

Collaborate closely with the Operations, Guest Experience, and LEGO® Model teams to ensure everything on site looks great, works perfectly, and delights our guests.
Qualifications & Experience
You are a proactive, solutions-focused technical professional with a strong understanding of mechanical and/or electrical systems and a passion for delivering great results.
You will bring:

Previous experience in a technical, facilities, engineering, or maintenance role — ideally in a leisure, hospitality, attractions, or similar fast-paced environment.

Solid understanding of technical safety standards, risk management, and compliance requirements.

Experience managing contractors and overseeing planned maintenance schedules.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to stay calm under pressure.

Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise effectively.

A hands-on approach — you’re not afraid to roll up your sleeves.

Great communication skills and the ability to work with teams across the attraction.

A positive, guest-focused mindset — because everything we do is about creating magical moments!
Experience in ride maintenance or within a themed entertainment environment is a bonus, but not essential.
