TORONTO (September 5, 2018) – Lights, camera, action! As buzz continues to build in advance of TIFF’s 2018 premiere tomorrow, some of the attending stars, including Lady Gaga and Timothée Chalamet, have been spotted walking down the TIFF red carpet as LEGO® Minifigures in LEGOLAND® Discovery Centre Toronto’s MINILAND® exhibit.
Created by Canada’s only LEGOLAND Discovery Centre’s Master Model Builder, Noel Straatsma, the TIFF red carpet scene is located just outside of MINILAND’s Roy Thomson Hall replica and features:
- A Star Is Born’s Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga;
- Beautiful Boy’s Steve Carell and Timothée Chalamet;
- Destroyer’s Nicole Kidman and Tatiana Maslany;
- Halloween’s Jamie Lee Curtis and Nick Castle; and
- Predator’s Jacob Tremblay and Sterling K. Brown.
“With so many A-list celebrities visiting Toronto for the festival we thought the temporary addition to the attraction was necessary,” said Noel Straatsma, Master Model Builder, LEGOLAND Discovery Centre Toronto. “Not all film buffs will have the chance to stargaze, so we wanted to create that opportunity.”
Those unable to see TIFF’s confirmed attendees in-person have until September 30 to check out the miniature celebrities in the attraction’s MINILAND exhibit. MINILAND is comprised of made of more than 500,000 LEGO bricks and features scaled replicas of the CN Tower, Toronto City Hall, Niagara Falls and more.
General admission tickets are available online now from a discounted rate of $18. Children two and under are free. Attendees must be accompanied by a child with the exception of adult nights.
