What we offer

Making cars and racing them on our speed track, or constructing buildings for our earthquake simulator, is physics in action; the MINILAND® is a great way to learn some local geography; even the Pirate experience can be a great excuse for a history lesson!

In LEGO® Workshops you will discover science and technic. In our interactive LEGO® workshops, all pupils learn get in contact with science and technic in an age appropriate manner. Addionally important basic key qualifications are learnt, which are substantial in modern society: Capacity for teamwork Independent action Communication skills

KiTa & pre-school, max. 25 participants, 3 - 5 years

The „Build a tower“ workshop is guided that teaches fine motor skills and creativity. Children are guided to build a model in small groups under advice of our trained personnel. LEGO® are built in different colours, forms and with different patterns. This helps to emphasize skills like teamwork, eye-hand coordination, concentrativeness and visual thinking.

KiTa & Elementary school, max. 25 participants, 5 – 7 years

Pupils build in small groups little spinning tops made of LEGO® DUPLO und make it spin! Our model builders train them in an age appropriate manner. Where else can you playfully learn something about mechanics and transmission, but in LEGOLAND® Discovery Centre Oberhausen?

Elementary school, max. 16 participants; 6 – 10 years

Pupils follow in small groups under advise of our trained personnel construction manuals shown on a laptop. You can create a moving LEGO® model and make it alive with computer programming!

Elementary school & special-needs school, max. 25 participants; 6 – 11 years

This workshop is tailored to the curriculum of grades 1-4 (NRW) and supplements the lessons through extracurricular experiences around the theme of "Maths at your fingertips". Mathematical content is brought near you in an innovative and creative way to the children. The learning outcomes will be deepened, playfully implemented and "made tangible" while handling with LEGO®. The common thread is a story in which the students use their math skills - even more complicated relationships are playfully and received.

The workshop "LEGO® - Story Telling" is designed for German lessons in grades 1 to 5 and excites the students in a playful way to invent their own stories and to get a sense of narrative forms. Skills, such as listening, reproducing and implement guidelines are thereby improved and increase creativity. "Story Telling" helps children to express themselves more confidently, creatively inventing stories and narrate them in correct order.

The bus can drop the students in front of our door but cannot stay there.

Buses will than be able to park at the bus parking place from the “Theater am Marientor”, Plessingstr. 20, 47051 Oberhausen. This is a 5 minute walk from the attraction.
